- It was first lit in 1894 and is still operational today.
- The lighthouse stands 56 feet tall and has a focal height of 205 feet above sea level.
- Its light can be seen from 21 miles away, making it one of the brightest on the West Coast.
- The lighthouse is named after Spanish explorer Bruno de Heceta, who mapped the area in the 1770s.
