The Right Touch

“The Right Touch” was a project I illustrated in cooperation with Catholic Community Services as a booklet for local children in their care and counciling center. This story teaches children in a gentle way to not let adults trick them into behaviors that make them uncomfortable. The story also explains that adults telling them to keep something a secret is not OK. It comes from the philosophy that “to be forewarned is be forearmed” . Meaning that children deserve to be told about a threat so they can be on guard.

This story and my illustrations were eventually picked up by a national publisher and has now sold millions of copies…to schools and also published internationally. Councillors have also used it in schools and their private practices. The “Garden of Children ” poster is also included on the back cover.
